Turnkey Warehouse Fire Escape

This free-standing warehouse fire escape consists of a fourteen foot rise with two landings. This heavy steel fabrication project used 12" stringer channel, 3/16" diamond plate tread, and 1-1/4" schedule 40 pipe for the handrail. The heavy steel fabrication project included onsite measure to determine proper dimensions, stair layout and design, shearing and forming of treads, stringer layout and fabrication, saw and cope handrail, welding, yellow safety paint, and complete installation at the facility. This is a great example of Fab Tech’s ability to take a heavy steel fabrication project from the absolute beginning to the absolute finish with minimal engineering expense to the customer.

Transport Boom Section For Mobile Hydraulic Crane

This heavy steel fabrication project included fact finding and consultation at customer’s facility to determine job requirements, then prepared and submitted the final design drawings to the customer for approval. The 4' x 10' boom frame is constructed of I-beam, 4" square tubing, 1-1/4" round bar for locating pins and miscellaneous plates for gussets and supports. Operations involved for this heavy steel fabrication project include our vertical band saw to cut tubing and round bar to length, plasma and laser cutting of gussets and supports, machining of mounting pins, welding, sandblasting, and finish painting, as well as various fixturing.
